Binance.US Removes Helium HNT maybe for Migration to Solana
The extension of one of the best crypto exchanges Binance in the United States, Binance.US after thorough evaluation, has decided to remove helium HNT from the exchange from 21st March. The exchange has decided to delist Helium as well as Jasmy coin (JASMY).
There are rumors regarding the migration of Helium HNT to Solana. Hence Binance.US decided to remove Helium.
The Helium Foundation expressed disappointment over the decision. However, they are still committed to continuing communication with the exchange to inform them of the network’s plans for growth in the future.
Helium is also going to promote their Helium wallets for getting hold of HNT on the free, open-source platform. Also, there are still more than 20 places to get HNT the users may even switch to them.
Although this decision of Binance.US is not in the favor of Helium, however, they are still proceeding with the migration. Their migration to Solana will bring prosperity to the network. Moreover, it will greatly enhance the network’s usefulness and allow more resources which will ultimately direct it toward achieving a cost-effective communication layer for all users and gadgets.
The Helium app will revive the native subDAO tokens and other integrations within Solana’s decentralized finance (DeFi) platform. This integration will bring opportunities to create more decentralized exchange platforms for HNT. This will further allow users to trade HNT on various platforms in a decentralized manner without relying on a centralized exchange. This is a significant step towards expanding the use cases of HNT in the DeFi ecosystem
This is not the first time BInance.US delisted HNT. Previously, they removed HNT tokens from their exchange back in October 2020. They did this by eliminating the cross-isolated margin and spot trading pairs for HNT and BUSD. The COO of Scott Sigel Helium Foundation had expressed strong opposition to this decision.
“There has been no change to the integrity of HNT and it continues to meet all of the standards the exchange sets… There are dozens of other exchanges that continue to support HNT. We hope Binance reverses course and re-lists the other HNT trading pairs soon.”
Scott Sigel stated in an interview
